About BIPO
We are the country’s PREMIERE teen pageant organization. We have successfully, for the past 5 years staged The Miss Teen Bahamas International Pageant and crowned outstanding representatives who have successfully placed in the top 5 or 10 at the international pageants affiliated with our franchise.
MTBI was launched under our leadership in 2016 under the theme “Renaissance”, with a mission to positively change the lives of young women in The Bahamas.
Our committee comprises a broad spectrum of professionals, who are committed to ensuring the success of the pageant. Our franchise owner, Ms. Tia Thompson was Miss Teen Bahamas International
2014 and wants to give the same opportunity to other young girls.
Our program has been carefully designed to develop the character, talents, and leadership skills of our contestants and to transform them into an international ambassador.
As of January 2023, we became Bahamas International Pageants- an official non-profit organization consisting of three (3) pageant franchises. Miss Teen International, Miss Teen Charm andMiss
Preteen International.

In April 2024, our organization took on the Miss Teen Universe franchise and dropped the Miss Teen International franchise, having now just two large scale franchises- Miss Teen Universe and Miss Teen Charm International.

Our organization features a 16-week program from January to April. The program consists of weekly meetings, focused on entrepreneurship, etiquette training, makeup application, modeling, nutritional advisement, grooming, public speaking and on-stage presentation.
For the first three (3) years, our committee chose to honor some of the most outstanding Bahamian women past and present. Each contestant randomly chose a female icon to represent during the
pageant. Invitations were presented to those women to attend the. Every year since, we’ve represented islands; and as of 2019, started traveling to one family island each year. So far, we've taken our preliminary competitions to Abaco, Grand Bahama, Bimini & Exuma. This initiative is done, not only to allow our contestants to experience all that our country and its different islands has to offer, but to pump more monies into the family islands and support local businesses.

The overall winner of our pageant receives a full scholarship to their university of choice [within the list of universities under CLT Agency] ranging from the USA, Jamaica, Guyana, etc, with the help of our partnership with Charlotte Knowles- Thompson agency, personal training sessions, and will represent The Bahamas at the Miss Teen Universe pageant in the host country of choice.

We strive to cultivate confidence, resilience, and leadership skills, fostering a supportive community that encourages growth and self-discovery. Through our programs, we aim to inspire the next generation of strong, capable women who will shine on both the international stage and in their everyday lives.
